Context

Fictional project. Cooperatives irrigate by guesswork for lack of reliable, affordable measurements.

Problem

Off-the-shelf probes cost too much and assume network coverage that fields do not have.

Solution

A solar-powered station transmitting over LoRaWAN to a gateway shared by the village.

Architecture diagram

Probes are read every 30 minutes by the ESP32, which sends measurements over LoRaWAN to an API; the dashboard shows irrigation thresholds.
