An API that extracts the information from an ID card and verifies the face of its holder, used by HE Systems in one of its projects.
Work carried out for HE Systems, which integrated this API into one of its projects.
The API receives a photo of an ID document, extracts its text using optical character recognition, and compares the face on the document with that of its holder.
Face detection relies on YOLOv8, comparison on the face_recognition library, and a Google generative model analyzes the document. The API is documented with Swagger.
| Feature | Value |
|---|---|
| API | Django REST Framework, Swagger documentation |
| Faces | YOLOv8 (ultralytics), face_recognition |
| Documents | Pillow, PyMuPDF, Google Generative AI |
